Elizabeth Anne Charters exists for one idea: that stepping aboard should feel less like buying a ticket and more like being invited onto a friend's private yacht — if your friend happened to own the most storied vessel on the Yarra.

She is a 1946 timber motor vessel, restored to her original character: a leather-seated saloon, polished teak, gleaming chrome, and room for 38 guests at most. That number is deliberate. One party aboard at a time means the crew hosts people, not crowds — every charter met at the gangway, every table looked after, every departure from Crown Floating Landing, Southbank on time.

Today she sails seven days a week — private charters, celebrations and river transfers — as a licensed tour operator.

We are the custodians of her story rather than its authors. The royal visits, the Olympic errand, the title of Royal Barge — those belong to her. Our work is simpler: to make sure every guest who steps aboard is looked after the way her history suggests they should be.
